Yukino
Miyazawa is...
Student, Over-Achiever, Leader, Daughter, Sister, Teacher's
Pet, Object of Admiration & Adoration
And on
top of all of that, she is the main character, the heroine
of Kare Kano. The story,
for the most part, revolves around her, and the people that
become a part of her life.
Yukino
Miyazawa is your your "basic" 15 year old high school
freshman at the Prefectural Hokuei
High School. Basic... if everyone else were getting the highest
scores on the tests, class
representatives, members of numerous school clubs and activities,
and the object of everyone's
admiration & affection. So in other words, she's on top
of her grade, and with no looking back.
At school, Yukino is reverred as a prodigy among sheep. All
the girls admire her. All the boys want
to date her. All the teachers love her. She's smart, is always
at the top of the test scores, can excel
at any subject, sport, and everyone looks up to her. However...
At
home... Yukino is lazy, obsessive, and downright spoiled.
In order to be on top of everything,
she will study all night long to ace a test, if there is a
sport she wants to excel at, she'll
secretly intensively train for it. She returns to the middle-class
lifestyle she actually belongs
to behind the confines of her home, and lowers her front.
So why
is she so great? You might be thinking, that she's pretty
shallow and deceiving, and
downright two-faced. It's true, and she is. At the beginning.
A lot can happen in a duration
of 26 episodes.
So
why is she so great..? Because she's a realistic character.
A character that probably lots of you
can relate to, whether it be yourself, of someone you know,
a friend or family member.
I loved
all the different sides of Yukino shown throughout the series,
the snob, the slob, the girlfriend,
the leader, the friend, and so on. I also loved her auburn
coloured hair, red eyes, and
the school uniform, but that's all shallow stuff.. ^_~
