I think I did the coolest thing ever

I don’t know what the hell is going on, but there’s gotta be a wasp’s nest somewhere on my roof, or worse, somewhere in my attic possibly.  Either way, throughout the summer, I’ve periodically run across wasps in my bathroom, and occasionally in my bedroom.  By themselves, they’re easy to dispatch, and after the first three or so wasps, I’m not really worried that they’re dexterous enough to do some crazy sifu Tai-Chi evasive maneuvers and sting me.

Anyway, I ran across a wasp in my bathroom earlier.  Instead of gassing it with bug spray and risk getting it into my eyes again, I decided to deal with this by hand.  I grabbed a hand towel, and wound it up into a hog tail.  The first snap got the wasp’s attention, and it began evasive maneuvers.  And then with the second snap of the towel, the wasp ceased to exist.

Not only did I kill the wasp with a stinging whip of a hand towel, I snapped the wings clean off of its body doing so.  As I bent down to pick up the carcass, it indeed had no more wings on it.  And it was really dead; no twitching, no remaining shreds of mortality clinging to a body making its last gasps of air, it was completely, motionless, dead as a doornail.  I probably did it the biggest favor it could have asked for, giving it such a quick, sudden, and likely painless death.

Not going to lie, I think this was one of the most awesome things I’ve done in a while.  I feel very accomplished and satisfied with myself, to the point where I could churn out 275+ words on the subject.
