Out of sight, out of mind

So, what I had feared might have happened, did happen; with my site down for the indeterminate amount of time it’s been down, I’ve simply stopped writing.  Not only have I really stopped writing, I haven’t even given much thought about writing until I really sat down and started writing this.  As this post is entitled, out of sight, out of mind.

I do not want to get used to this.

However, I can’t necessarily say it’s a terrible thing that such has happened, as since the brog’s temporary offline status has taken effect, I’ve actually been pretty busy in my daily everyday life’s affairs, likely to the point of where anything that I would’ve posted, probably wouldn’t have been of much quality that appeases my personal standards in the first place.  I won’t really get into everything that’s happened since the period of time in which the brog was operational, but I will say that most all of it has been positive.

More than a lot of people that know me might expect.

What does stink though however, is the fact that at the time I’m writing this right now, I really have no idea of what the last thing that went live actually was.  Admittedly, I had a cache of posts that were going to go up before the network transfer, and I don’t even remember what those were.  The downside to housing everything server-side is the fact that when things are offline, I frankly have no control, much less access to my own content, which is kind of a helpless feeling.

Regardless, with things kind of settling down a little bit in my daily weekday routine, with most of my trips, conventions and general plans wrapping up, I figure now is as good as time as any to try and get back into the swing of regular writing.  Even if I can’t actually post the things I write until the brog is back up online, I am going to try and make efforts to keep writing, so that if anything at all, I can retroactively go back and post things on their according days, and if all goes according to plan, then all six of my readers might have a whole cache of things to kill 20 minutes with.
