A funny thing happened

Over the span of the last few days, my beloved brog had come back up online.  It was one of those “oh, look what’s back” kind of moments, because I was having a conversation with someone about something, that I knew that in the past, I had a relevant picture uploaded to my site.  But because I assumed my site was still down, I went straight to Google, with hopes of finding a cached version of what I had in mind, but discovered that my site was actually up and running again.

Color me surprised and at the same time, a little bewildered.  I’m happy, undoubtedly, enough to warrant the Shawshank metaphor to have my brog back up online, but at the same time, I’m kind of like “what do I do next?”  I’ve gone over a month without regular writing, and I feel a little bit out of touch with my writing chops.  I have a feeling it’s going to take a little bit of time to get the wheels turning again, especially with the way life is right now, which is to say a little bit different than how it was back in the end of September, the last time my regular postings had ceased.

So, for the time being, my objective with the brog is to get it running as seamlessly as it had prior to the server move.  Which is really to say that my big gay orange brother needs to do whatever it takes to get the archives up and running, because that’s where a lot of my older content is still housed and I’d like to have still somewhat accessible.

Additionally, in spite of the downtime, I did make some efforts to do some writing during the month offline, and I’m going to retroactively post those on the days in which they were originally written, because I’m studious like that, and want to try to remain as true to having been regularly writing as I can, even if it means having to go the route of retroactive posts.

But regardless, I’m glad to be back online.  It’s going to take a little bit of time, but I’d like to be back to somewhat of a regular writing routine again, because frankly, I didn’t like having my general streak of weekday writing being broken by things outside of my control in the first place.  Whatever though, I welcome back my six readers, and I hope it’s business as usual, sooner, rather than later.
